Sports

Sports for the school comprise of both structured and un-structured play. Every sports class focuses on development of gross motor skills and is designed to improve the student’s co-ordination and confidence. The student learn fundamental skills for sports such as throwing and catching whilst also playing participating in sports like basketball and football. Stretching and physical exercises consist of developing balancing, rolling and finding space, whereas a football lessons will be working on dribbling and passing. The lessons are always fun and engaging for the children as well as educational.

The students learn to run safely on the whole foot, kick a large ball and squat with steadiness, to pick up an object and rise back to their feet without using their hands. They also engage in different movements like slithering, shuffling, rolling, crawling, walking, running, jumping, skipping, sliding and hopping. It helps to analyses the student’s ability to be able to negotiate space and their ability to catch a large ball.
